Paper Hand Towels
Paper Hand Towels are made from absorbent paper rather than cloth and are disposable after one use. There are two main types of paper towels; the continuous roll varieties and the individual types which are usually folded and stacked in a dispensing unit. The use of paper towels includes during of hands, dusting and cleaning, moping spillages and wiping windows. Often they are used commonly in kitchens as they are considered more hygienic due to the fact that they are disposable and therefore avoid cross contamination of germs. It is considered that disposable towels have more of an environmental impact compared traditional cloth towels, however this has yet to be proven and is widely disputed when all factors are taken in to consideration.
Paper towels, made form paper pulp can sometimes be bleached to make them appear whiter. Some paper towels also include coloured images or logos, and often also a resin to improve the strength of the towel when wet. Sometimes paper towels consist of two or more layers of paper and incorporate cellulose to help aid absorption.
